Getting Your Class 5L License in Manitoba: Your 4-Step Checklist

Step 1: Are You Eligible for a Class 5L?

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or 15.5 if in a High School Driver Education program).
  • You need parental consent if you are under 18.
  • You must pass a vision screening.

Step 2: What ID Do I Need?

You need to establish your identity by providing documents that prove your full name, date of birth, signature, and Manitoba residency. A passport and a utility bill are common examples.
